Asset priorities are surfaced in inventory parts based on asset bill of material (BOM) in release R2025h. They can be used to prioritize inventory management. For instance, inventory parts used by critical assets should be of class A or B, while parts for non-critical assets may be of class C.
- The asset priority for an inventory part is calculated as the maximum priority of assets with the inventory part in their BOMs.
- Asset BOMs may be defined by assets individually, or by asset item (asset grouping).
- The priority is calculated and refreshed regularly by Calem in the background.
- The asset priority is also surfaced in Auto ABC Processes and Auto Min/Max Processes where ABC and min/max stock levels are calculated based on historical part usage.
