When to Use Calem Web Client in Tablets

Touch-Scroll is available in Calem Web Client in the coming release of R2025g (Sept. 2025), making it easier to use Calem Ajax Web Client in tablets (screenshot below). Additionally, the themes of Calem Web Client such as Dark Mode (next screenshot) is available in tablets.

Here are the factors in selecting Calem Web Client for tablets.

• Calem Mobile can be installed from App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).
• For iOS and Android devices Calem Mobile is the best choice.
• Both Calem Touch and Calem Web are available for Windows tablets.
  • Calem Touch is of the same look and feel of Calem Mobile.
  • Calem Web comes with themes including Dark Mode.
• For an organization adding Windows tablets, Calem Web may be a good choice with minimal training. Calem Touch may be evaluated since it is designed for tablets and phones.
• For an organization migrating to Windows tablets from iPads or Android, Calem Touch will be a better choice since it has the same look and feel as Calem Mobile. 
• Another choice is to keep both Calem Touch and Calem Web available so that users may choose a client to use based on their work requirements.
• System configuration changes are needed to enable Calem Web in tablets - see Calem Touch Admin Guide (customer accounts required).
