How to Skip a PM Work Order

Work orders are generated from PMs (preventive maintenance jobs) in Calem based on time schedules or meter readings. If a PM work order is no longer needed, there are steps to skip it.

 1. Floating PM

  • A PM work order is by a floating schedule, i.e., a PM work order is generated and Calem will not generate the same PM work order until the PM work order is completed.
  • Canceling the PM WO will skip the PM WO. Calem will recalculate the "Next due" of the PM. This is recommended.
    • Alternatively, set the "Need by" of the work order to a new future date.
    • This will remove the PM work order from "Past Due" list of work orders.

2. Fixed PM

  • A PM work order is by a fixed schedule, i.e., a PM work order is generated and Calem will generate next PM work orders by that fixed schedule.
  • Cancel the PM WO will skip the PM WO. Calem will generate the next PM WO by "Next due" in PM.
    • If one needs to change the PM's "Next due", go to the PM (from the PM link in the work order) and set the PM's "Next due" to a new future date (screenshot below).
    • Alternatively, one can delete a PM WO to skip it.
  •  Set the PM work order to "Canceled" to cancel it.
  • Alternatively, delete the PM work order to skip.
  • Go to "Open WO" list, find the work order, check the checkbox (in the left of the work order row) and delete it.
  • Calem will prompt you to confirm, click "OK" to have the work order deleted from Calem.
